Found Family

This photo comes from a blog post about “Hidden” or “Invisible Mothers. It was often common practice to have mother’s holding their children in photographs for stability and comfort, but covered up and hidden so that the photo was just of the children.

This is the first of two photos of this girl and her reflection. I will post the other photo tomorrow. I got these from the Kane County Flea Market. They were more than I usually spend on photos but have turned out to be a couple of my favorites!

when i saw this photo, i immediately thought of this photo. i love thinking i’ve found the same people on two completely different days of collecting.
